Sep 24, 2023 · The University of Alabama—Birmingham offers a dual degree program for students who wish to gain both a Master of Social Work and a Juris Doctorate or a Master of Public Health. The Master of Public Health degree requires 60 credit hours and allows any student enrolled in the MSW program to apply for the dual degree. Degree Requirements: The MSW/EdM program usually takes two and a half years of full-time study, and three years full-time if the student wishes to pursue teacher licensure. A total of 83 credits is required to complete the MSW/EdM dual degree option. Students are expected to meet the core requirements of both Schools.
